II. Performance Characteristics

  Our company, introducing technology from a Japanese company, has overcome the shortcomings of traditional methanol vapor-phase dehydration catalysts for preparing dimethyl ether, such as high activation temperature, poor thermal stability, and easy overheating. Using advanced technology and equipment, we have successfully produced the DEC-2 dimethyl ether catalyst, which has the advantages of high activity, good selectivity, long service life, and reasonable price. It is the preferred catalyst of its kind.

  (1) Low initial reaction temperature, uniform bed temperature: Methanol has a high conversion rate at 210℃, and the maximum bed temperature rise does not exceed 60℃.

  (2) High methanol conversion rate, conversion rate of 85%

  (3) Good selectivity, surface carbon generation, selectivity >99.9%

  (4) High strength, good water resistance, and low bed resistance.

 

III. Reaction Principle

  After vaporization and preheating, methanol enters the dimethyl ether reactor and undergoes a dehydration reaction under the action of a catalyst. The reaction equation is as follows:

  CH3OH+HOCH3 CH3OCH3+H2O

 

IV. Normal Process Conditions

  1. Pressure: 0.5-1.5Mpa

  2. Temperature: 250-400℃

  3. Liquid hourly space velocity: 1-3h-1
