Ma Steel 400,000 Nm³/h blast furnace gas desulfurization

Basic Information

  Gas volume: 400,000 Nm³/h.

  Blast furnace gas from the alkali washing tower, at a pressure of 20 Kpa, is heated to 60-90℃ by a heater before entering the protection tower and hydrolysis tower, where over 90% of the COS is converted to H2S. After cooling to 30-45℃, it enters the desulfurization tower where all H2S is absorbed. The desulfurized gas is then sent to the hot blast furnace user. Total sulfur content at the outlet is <10 mg/Nm³.

  This project was an EPC project by Baowu Water, with our company providing the protective agent, hydrolysis agent, desulfurizing agent, and the basic design of the supporting equipment. The project was put into operation in May 2024 and has performed well, meeting all design requirements.
